Still Undefeated

This team appear to be unstoppable. Despite a very scrappy and sloppy start, the girls showed some fantastic improvement from their last two games. Ipswich offered our girls their first real challenge, their GS rarely missed so it was imperative that the defence worked well to keep the ball away from her - which they did. Florence and Eliza switched from WD and GD jumping higher than I have seen and reaching that little bit further to get numerous interceptions. Hannah continued to shine as GK, collecting rebounds and not letting the unflappable GS out of her sight.

The centre court was a little rushed and we made some silly mistakes but we were quickly turned around from our incredible defence. Saskia stepped up after a wobbly first quarter and connected the defence and attack well and controlled the game as C. Aemilia worked well to feed the circle with high balls to Charlotte, who made some incredible shots throughout the game. Bella was her usual 'pocket rocket' self and made herself free for many passes and worked the ball well into the circle - making some great shots herself.

I have such high hopes for this team, they just need to make sure they stay steady, slow down and play their own game, rather than playing to their opponent's.

Player's Player - Bella Bridgeman.

Coach's Player- Florence Clark - for phenomenally long arms and great interceptions!
