Finborough School Girls-U15A vs  St Joseph's College, Ipswich
On: Thursday, 13 Jan 2022
Venue: at Home

Very close game under the captaincy of Fee with Mode as vice. Great team leadership shown right from the start with a thorough and comprehensive warm up lead by the captain. St Jo's were tall and athletic. They took the lead right from the start and were up by three goals in the first 3 minutes. The team were behind the pace but adjusted quite quickly and began to come back into the game. The quarter finished with us with us only 1 behind. The next quarter we struggled to pass the ball effectively through the middle of the court. We were very close to one another and didn't find our flow. The end of the second quarter we were 3 down. In the 3rd quarter we swapped things around a bit to try people in different positions but the margins remained similar. We struggled to progress the ball from the defensive back line and the St Jo's press was very effective. The last quarter saw more changes to try to find a solution and Fee played as C while Yaz and Tessa were our shooters. Our fitness appeared superior to theirs as they began to tire a little. Final score 19-16 to them. Lots of real positives can be taken from the game, particularly the versatility of our players. Equally a long list of items to work on over the next week. A positive perspective for the rest of the season.
