Match Report
Finborough School Girls-U13C vs  Ipswich High School
On: Wednesday, 06 Oct 2021
Venue: Away

The first half of the game was fairly evenly matched between both teams. Noelia played some great balls into the D, however our attacking players were not supporting within the D to play the ball into the goals. At this point it was clear the girls had to keep up with the game more, showing more movement and support one an other with stronger passes. With some incredibly quick reactions from our defence, the score remained 0-0 until Bailey made our first goal right before the half time whistle.

This first goal and a team talk led the girls to come back on as a real force, working brilliantly as a team and showing real determination. Olivia Doe was fantastic support within the D as she was able to pick up loose balls and successfully score another goal for us. Notably, Sophia Batrums drive and determination saw her score some strong goals to increase our lead against Ipswich High. The defence worked tirelessly as a cohesive team to prevent Ipswich High from even having many shots at the goal. A special mention to Lily Atkin whos confidence in defence has undoubtely grown, it is evident to see within her game play. The game ended with a score of 6-0 to us, demonstrating what a wonderful performance it was from the girls.
